During the morning hours of May 5, 2002 the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office responded to an Oil well site on Huff Run Rd. just outside Mineral City when a passing motorist noticed someone lying near an oil well site. Cheryl Huff, formerly Cheryl Bebout, was located very badly beaten with severe head trauma and has suffered permanent brain damage. Cheryl Huff was verified to have been in the “Hob Nob†bar in Canton, Ohio and it is unknown who she left with or how she got to the oil well in Tuscarawas County.
The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office is offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the assailants of Cheryl Huff.
