Frequently Asked Questions

Are the readings on my bill actual or estimated?

Our meter reading program is designed to provide actual readings for each billing cycle.  In rare cases, a bill may be estimated because of inability to read the meter

How do I go about getting the bill in my name?

If you are the property owner, contact our billing clerk at (330) 874-3262 x 307  If you are a tenant, our District policy requires that the account stay in the landowner's name and they are the ultimate responsible party

Who do I call for emergencies after regular works hours?

Call (330) 874-3262 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  If the call is after normal work hours, your call will be directed to our after-hours answering service who will forward your information to our on-call staff who will return the call as soon as possible.

What do I do if I smell sewer odor or suspect a sewer backup?

Refer to the basement backup section on our website.

High Usage?  Check for Leaks.

         Check all toilets & faucets!

Leaking toilets are the biggest cause of wasted water, resulting in large water and sewer bills.

The most common source of leaks is the toilet.

Check for leaks by placing a few drops of food coloring in the tank.  If, after 45 minutes, the dye shows in the bowl, the toilet has a leak.

Toilets can usually be repaired inexpensively.

Toilets can account for almost 30% of all indoor water use, more than any other fixture or appliance.

We are an equal opportunity provider and employer.
