PLEASE NOTE: Local Rules 4.05, 4.06, 10.05(A)(1), and 10.08 have been superseded, in part, by a recent amendment to Ohio Civ.R. 6(C). Effective July 1, 2019, civil and domestic relations motions shall generally be set for either oral hearing or non-oral consideration on the fourth Monday following the date of filing, and motions for summary judgment shall generally be set for the sixth Monday following the date of filing.
Civ.R. 6(C)(1) permits that “[r]esponses to a written motion, other than motions for summary judgment, may be served within fourteen days after service of the motion. Responses to motions for summary judgment may be served within twenty-eight days after service of the motion. A movant’s reply to a response to any written motion may be served within seven days after service of the response to the motion.”
If a reply is filed on the Friday before the hearing or non-oral consideration, a courtesy copy shall be directed to the courtroom, as previously required by Local Rules.
