$20.00 Fine & Court Costs for Passenger

TRAFFIC WAIVER
When a Juvenile is charged with a first offense, minor traffic violation, they may choose to waive their Court appearance by appearing at the Juvenile Clerks Office with a parent prior to their assigned court date and paying a fine and court costs.

Exceptions to this would be a charge of:
Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol
Driving with no operator’s license
Driving with a suspended driver’s license
Reckless operation
Speed of 75 miles per hour and above; and/or 20 miles or more over the posted speed limit
Speed in a posted school zone
Failure to control/assured clear distance or any citation involving an accident
School bus violations
Fleeing and eluding a police officer
Leaving the scene of an accident/hit skip
Drag racing
Fictitious or altered plates

COURT APPEARANCES
Arraignments for Juvenile Traffic Court are held primarily on Thursday mornings beginning at 9:00.  Juvenile will be notified by mail two weeks prior to their scheduled arraignment of the date and time.
