reside out of state but who are getting married in Both applicants must apply
together in person. If the couple is not from out of state, at least one

state, their out-of-state IDs will suffice. If one of the parties is a
resident of Tuscarawas County and his or her ID does not have the
current address on it, the Court requests
the person bring proof of his or her address, such as a bill. If that
documentation is not presented, the matter must be referred to the
Judge. If either party has been divorced, that party must
provide the date, case number and location of his or her most recent
divorce in addition to the name of his or her prior spouse and any minor
children. The easiest way to provide that is with a copy of the divorce
or dissolution decree signed by the judge that ended the marriage or a
certificate issued as a result of the marriage being terminated. If that
information is not presented, the matter must be referred to the Judge. Only a duly ordained or licensed minister who is registered with the Secretary of the State of Ohio, a Judge, a Mayor, or the Superintendent of the State School for the Deaf may solemnize a marriage. |
